Unzip the download, move Field Browser to Applications, then open it. No Field account is required. Browse normally without configuring AI.

  • Enter a website or search in the address bar. Suggestions include open tabs, bookmarks, history and Google search completions.
  • Open and switch tabs, save bookmarks, pin a tab and return to your session after restarting.
  • Drag a tab to a page edge to read websites side by side, or detach a tab into another window.
  • Open a private window. Its history and website storage are separate from your regular browsing.

Ask tabs is optional and requires your own Azure connection. Selected page text pauses for review before you send it to that provider.

The managed browser passkey entitlement has not been included in this build. Website passkey sign-in remains unavailable until Apple approves the entitlement and Field is rebuilt with a matching provisioning profile. Other website sign-in methods can be used.

Field uses WKWebView’s WebAuthn implementation. The intended integration offers existing and new passkeys through the native macOS credential sheet, including iCloud Keychain.

Bundle ID: com.addycorp.fieldbrowser. Browser passkeys require macOS 13.3 or later. Settings → Privacy → Passkeys reports whether the running build has the entitlement and credential access.

When upgrading from the original local build, Field copies existing browser profile and Azure settings once without replacing new settings. Website sign-ins start fresh for the new app identity; the original app’s files remain intact.
